Using the “Go Live” function

With intelligent capability-tracking software, SpellBlast adapts to each user’s ability, adjusting the level of difficulty automatically. Using “Go Live”, users can compete head-to-head against others of a similar level to earn points. Leaderboards are displayed on the SpellBlast landing page, showing global, school, and class rankings.

Playing “Go Live”

  1. Click the “Go Live” button.

  2. SpellBlast will match you with other players of a similar level (this may take a few seconds).

  3. Once matched, the game will load.

  4. Make sure your sound is turned ON (headphones are recommended, especially in busy classrooms).

  5. Listen carefully to the word and use the keyboard to spell it.

    • If you spell the word incorrectly, you’ll receive a visual prompt and one more chance to try again.

    • A second incorrect attempt will mark the word as wrong.

After the game

  • When the time runs out, SpellBlast ranks you against your three opponents (1st–4th place).

  • A results list is generated showing all the words you attempted, including those spelt incorrectly.

  • Click save to keep a copy of your results. The list will be stored in your MyFiles area.
