Regenerating a QR code provides a fresh login method, useful if the current QR code is expiring or has been compromised.

  1. Log in to Just2easy and navigate to the J2dashboard (now located in the Teacher’s area). 
  2. Click on Manage Users.
  3. Find the user whose QR code you want to regenerate. Tick the checkbox next to their name.
  4. Click the QR Code button at the top of the page to open the QR code management interface.
  5. Click the Generate user login codes button.
  6. Click on the user's current QR code image. This opens a detailed view for managing the QR code.
  7. lick the Regenerate button to create a new QR code. This new code replaces the previous one and is immediately valid for login.
  8. You can now print the QR code to place in the pupil’s book or send it home electronically.

Important Considerations.

  • Communication: Inform the pupil or their parent/guardian that the new QR code is now active and that older versions are invalid.

  • Security: Treat QR codes like passwords. Do not share publicly. If a QR code is lost or suspected compromised, regenerate immediately.

  • Timing: a QR code will need to be regenerated any time a password is changed
