The Just2easy Parent Portal gives parents and carers an easy, secure way to stay connected with their child’s learning. It offers an “over-the-shoulder” view of their child’s Just2easy account, bringing together key tools like j2homework, j2message, j2Stars, and their child’s j2journal – a digital portfolio showcasing their best work. Parents can also upload files on behalf of their child and keep track of communications and progress in one place.

Overview

Parents and carers need to be invited to the Parent Portal via an email invitation or QR code. Once they follow the prompts to create an account, they can log in either through the desktop site at parent.j2e.com/login or via the Just2easy Parent Portal app. Here are two articles outlining the setup process and the app available for parents

Parents with multiple linked children can easily switch between profiles to view each child’s information.

Landing Page

After selecting a profile, parents see an overview of their child’s activity, including:

  • Homework tasks set through j2homework

  • Messages from school via j2message

  • j2stars – points and achievements awarded by teachers

  • j2journal – a showcase of their child’s best work and progress over time

  • Option to upload files to their child’s account

j2Homework

Parents can view homework titles, descriptions, and any linked documents or URLs. Homework must still be completed by the child using their own Just2easy login, but can be submitted by the parent.

j2message

Parents can read school and class messages and, where enabled by the school, reply directly to their child’s teacher. Replies always move into a secure 1:1 conversation. Parents cannot post directly within class discussion boards. Schools may configure or restrict which teachers parents can message.

j2journal

Parents can view their child’s j2journal, a digital portfolio of their best work, selected by the child or teacher. This allows parents to celebrate achievements and track progress over time in a secure, read-only environment. Where enabled by the school, parents can comment and upload journal entries.

j2stars

Parents can view j2stars, the digital rewards system where teachers recognise and celebrate their child’s achievements. Each star represents positive feedback for effort, behaviour, or progress, helping parents stay engaged with their child’s successes at school.

Upload Files

Parents can upload photos, videos, or other work to their child’s account. Using the “Choose File” button, they can select files from their device or upload directly via the app’s camera or photo library.
