The Parent Portal allows schools to give parents secure access to their child’s j2stars, journal entries, and homework, as well as a messaging service. More information on what the portal shows can be found in this article (click here)

As a teacher, you can set up and manage parent accounts quickly.

  1. Log in to your Just2easy teacher account.

  2. Navigate to the j2dashboard (which can be found in the Teacher's area)

  3. Open the Parents/carers tab.

  4. Select a class from the classes drop down menu

  5. From here, you can choose to send QR codes or email invitations to parents. See below for detailed instructions on how to do both.

QR code invites

  1. Click "create QR code"

  2. A unique QR code will be generated for each child.

  3. Print the QR codes to share with parents.

  4. Parents can scan the QR code using their phone’s camera to access the account registration page.

  5. Multiple parents/carers can scan the same QR code to register. They will have separate parent portal accounts.

Please note: Parents must be invited for each child enrolled at the school. For example, if a parent has three children in three different classes, they will receive a separate QR code for each child’s account. They only need to register once, but must scan all three QR codes to link all accounts under their profile.

Email invites

  1. Click "invite parent" button

  2. Add parent email addresses . The parent’s email will become their username.

  3. Click "invite" This will send out an activation email—these will include instructions for parents to set up their passwords and access the portal.

  4. Multiple parents/carers can be added - simply repeat the process with a different email address

Please note: Parents need to be invited for each child enrolled at the school. For example, if a parent has three children in three different classes, they will need to receive an invitation linked to each child’s account.

You can revoke access to QR codes, email invites, and parental accounts at any time. Click below to find out more.
