Customising Your J2webby Site
This article follows on from J2webby – The Basics.
J2webby is designed to be simple and effective out of the box, but there are ways to make it more personal to your school.
Getting Started
To begin, click the Customise button.You’ll see two main areas you can edit:
Site Theme – including site identity, colours, and header image
Menu Bar – including categories and navigation items
Changing the Site Theme
The Site Theme includes three options: Site Identity, Colours, and Header Image.
1. Site Identity
Change the format of your school’s name displayed on the top bar.
To do this, select Site Identity, then edit the Site Title.
You can also add a site icon (favicon) that appears on the browser tab:
Click Select Image.
Choose an image, crop if necessary, and click Add Image.
The icon will now display on the J2webby browser tab.
2. Colour Scheme
Select Colours to change your site’s colour scheme.
You may wish to match the colour to your school’s branding.
3. Header Image
To add an image (such as your school logo) to the site’s header:
Select Header Image.
Click Add New Image.
Upload and crop your image if necessary, then click OK.
You can also use automatically generated images by choosing:
Randomise Uploaded Images, or
Randomise Suggested Headers.
Changing the Menu Bar
The Menu customisation option allows you to rename, remove, or add categories in the menu bar.
Renaming or Deleting a Category
Click Customise → Menu → Just2easy Menu.
A list of all categories will appear, labelled as categories, pages, or posts.
To make changes, open the dropdown next to an item:
Rename: Edit the title – updates appear in real-time.
Remove: Delete the item from the menu.
Click Publish to save your changes.
Adding a New Category
Click Customise → Menu → Just2easy Menu.
Scroll down and click Add Page.
Enter a name for your new category, then click +.
The category will appear in real time on your menu bar.
Click Publish to save.
