Setting Your Own Class Spellings
SpellBlast comes with a range of preset spelling lists based on the National Curriculum, which pupils can choose from to suit their needs.
Teachers can also create and share their own spelling lists.
Creating a Spelling List
Open SpellBlast.
Click the "abc" button to open the spelling list library.
Access the preset spell blast spelling lists (National Curriculum) or create your own under “My Lists”.
Click the “+” button to add a new list.
Enter a title for your list and add your spellings:
Type directly into the box, or
Copy and paste from another source.
Click OK.
Adding Audio
SpellBlast offers two audio options:
Auto-generated pronunciation (default)
User-recorded audio
To record your own:
Select “use recorded audio”.
Record each word using the recording function.
Use the arrow keys to move between words.
You can mix auto-generated and recorded speech.
Click OK when finished.
Sharing Your Spelling List
By default, your spelling list is visible only to you. To share it:
Click the Share button on your list.
Select the pupils, classes, or groups to share with.
Click OK to confirm.
Removing Share Permissions
To stop sharing:
Open the Share screen.
Click the “x” next to any user to remove their access.
