How to Get a Shareable URL from a Just2easy File

Sometimes you may need to share a file outside of your school or organisation (e.g. a newsletter for parents or a report for an external professional). Follow the steps below to generate a public link:

1. Open My Files

2. Locate the File

  • Find the file you want to share.

  • Hover over it and click the green "i" icon in the top-right corner.

3. Open the Share Menu

  • From the options that appear, click "Share".

4. Publish the file (only undertake this step if you wish someone to view this file without logging into Just2easy)

  • In the sharing menu, click the checkbox next to "Publish".

Clicking "Publish" does not make the file public online. It simply removes the login requirement for viewing the file. The file is only accessible via the link.

5. Copy the Link

  • A unique URL will appear in the "Link" box.

  • Copy and share this link with external users as needed (e.g. in an email or newsletter).

Sharing with pupils or classes (no publish needed)
If you're sharing with a pupils or a class within your organisation:
- Open the share menu as above
- Use the "Shared with" box or drop down menu to select the pupils or class
- They will then see the file in their Shared Files area
- Do not tick the Publish box when sharing internally
