j2blast allows users to practise spellings and times tables in a games-based learning environment.

With clever capability-tracking software, TTBlast monitors users’ abilities, automatically adjusting the level of difficulty. Using the “Go Live” feature, users can compete head-to-head against others of a similar level to earn points. Leaderboards are displayed on the TTBlast landing page, showing global, school, and class rankings.

Playing “Go Live”

  1. Click the “Go Live” button.

  2. TTBlast will match you with other players at a similar level (this may take a few seconds).

  3. The game will load, and your goal is to answer as many multiplication questions as possible within the time limit while trying to beat the other players.

  4. Use the keyboard to type answers.

    • If your answer is incorrect, you’ll get one more chance.

    • A second incorrect answer will mark the problem as wrong.

After the game

  • When the time runs out, TTBlast will rank you against your three opponents (1st–4th place).

  • You’ll receive a results sheet showing all the problems you attempted, highlighting correct and incorrect answers.

  • To keep a record, click the save button. The results sheet will be saved in your MyFiles area.
