The launchpad/j2launch comes with a set of ready-made tiles, but you can also create your own to personalise your workspace and even share them with others. 


This is especially handy if you want pupils to access a specific webpage or file instantly, without the hassle of typing out long URLs or searching for resources. A single click on your custom tile gets them straight to where they need to be! 

To add a new tile:

  1. Click the grey “+” button at the top of the launchpad.

  2. Enter a title for your tile.

  3. Paste a URL in the relevant box – this could be:

    • A website link, or

    • A document stored in MyFiles.

  4. (Optional) Add an image or description to make your tile stand out. (most websites will load a linked tile image automatically )

  5. (Optional) change the tile colour. This can be useful for categorising tiles for different subjects.

  6. A preview will appear on the left.

  7. Click the “+” button again to create and add your tile.


Sharing your tile:
If you want others to see the tile on their launchpad, you’ll need to share it. Hover over your tile and click the share button (as shown below). Choose the necessary users or groups to share with, and the tile will instantly appear on their launchpads.
