Open j2journal from your Launchpad.
Click “New Journal” to begin.
Select a class from the dropdown list.
Registration classes appear in green.
Teaching classes appear in purple.
Name the class. This should be a name pupils and parent will recognise (i.e Class 1, Class 1 2025/6, C1, etc)
Enable parental contributions or comments (if available).
These options depend on your school settings.

Click “Create” to finish your journal setup.
Add learning content to your journal.

Tip: j2journal is designed for one journal per class, with groups organised into folders.
However, if you need a journal for a smaller group, you can create a teaching class for that group first. Find out how here

Pupils can also access j2journal via their Launchpad.
They can only:
See and add to journals of classes they are enrolled in.
View content they have created themselves or where they have been tagged.
