Accessing Pupils’ Work and using j2review
When you open MyFiles, you’ll be taken to your file view. Here you can access:
Your own files
Shared files
Pupil files
Files awaiting moderation
Viewing Pupil Files
Select "Pupil Files" to view all classes.
To narrow down to your classes only, click the “My Classes” button.
The number on each folder shows how many pupils are in that class.
Click a class to view all pupils and see the number of files in each pupil’s folder.
Tip: To view all work created on a specific day, tick the “List Files” checkbox.
This makes it easy to quickly assess work from a single lesson.
Learning Conversations
Each file has a speech bubble icon above it.
Click the bubble to open a two-way communication box, where:
You can leave feedback on the pupil’s work.
Pupils can reply with questions or clarifications.
Pupils are notified of your comments with a red number on their MyFiles.
File options
Right-click the green "i" icon on any file to access options:
Download – Save a copy locally to your device or external storage.
QR Code – Generate a QR code to stick in books or displays while keeping the file interactive.
Add Tag – Create and assign tags for tracking cross-curricular work (e.g. science, maths).
Add Progression – Tag work against curriculum frameworks.
j2review comes with several frameworks pre-loaded.
If your framework isn’t listed, email support@j2e.com to have it added.
Adding Progression Statements
Locate the pupil’s work in pupil's files.
Click the star icon to the right of the file.
Select the relevant framework:
Choose from the available frameworks.
If your school needs additional frameworks added, email support@j2e.com with the details.
Choose the year group and subject.
Tick all relevant statements.
You can tag work across multiple subjects and frameworks (e.g. Maths and Computing).
Once all statements are tagged, click the Exit button.
Refresh the page to see the newly added progression statements in the pupil’s file.
